A Palestinian was shot to death Saturday morning by Border Guard volunteers, who were searching after illegal aliens in the area of Yarkon Cemetery in Petah Tikva.
The Border Guard
stated that a policeman shot the Palestinian
after the latter attempted to stab him.
The event occurred at around 7 am near the cemetery. Border Guard Spokesman Shai Hakimi told Ynet that during the operation to locate illegal aliens, one of the questioned Palestinians approached the force and tried to stab one of the policemen, who in turn shot him.

Magen David Adom emergency services reported that they determined the death of the Palestinian, who was in his twenties. The Border Guard stated that in the operation, 40 other illegal aliens were detained.
Several areas in which illegal aliens reside were exposed recently in the vicinity of Petah Tikva. Last July, during an arrest operation conducted by the police in the area, a "tent city" was found, in which dozens of Palestinians were living.
Two months ago, after a Palestinian murdered IDF soldier Sergeant Tomer Hazan, Ynet documented how Palestinians freely crossed the broken force into Israel.
An Israeli working nearby told Ynet: "They get on cars and even drive cars. They don't give a damn about anything. Every day I stand here and see 1,000 illegal aliens crossing the fence. No police, no military, no nothing."
