Iran's Supreme Leader Khamenei trolls Trump with Fire and Fury

Ayatollah Ali Khamenei shares a picture of himself reading Michael Wolff's 'Fire & Fury,' a tell-all book about the purported chaos at the White House and farcical behavior of the US president.

Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei took advantage of an opportunity to provoke his great rival, US President Donald Trump, and published an image on his Instagram page in which he appeared to read the Persian translation of Michael Wolff's "Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House," which purports to give a behind-the-scenes look at the dysfunctional Trump administration.

BBC News' Hadi Nili reported that the image was taken at this year's Tehran International Book Fair.

Wolff's bombshell exposé claimed, inter alia, that Trump was a serial adulterer who used to woo the girlfriends and wives of his aquatics out of jealousy and revenge.

Th book further alleges that before the election Trump promised to his wife Melania that he had no chance of winning—and did not really intend to take the position of president. On the night of the elections, the book notes, when Trump's victory became clear, Melania cried, and the President-elect himself was terrified, and only after a while did he begin to believe that he was fit for the position of president—a belief none at the White House share.

This comes less than a week after Trump announced the US will unilaterally withdraw from the Iran nuclear deal and reimpose sanctions on the Islamic Republic.

This prompted Khamenei to blast Trump, saying his "shallow & ludicrous" behavior was expected, and that Iran will remain undeterred and unfettered in the face of such animosity.

"(Trump's) corpse will also be worm food while (Iran) stands strong," Khamenei wrote in a tweet after the announcement.
