Two members of the Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades, Hamas'
military wing, were killed in a strong blast near the al-Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza. The two were said to have been placing explosive charges near the border fence.
Palestinians identified the two gunmen as Osama and Kamal Nabahin, who are members of the same family.
Several incidents have taken place in the past few days along Israel's border with the Gaza Strip. On Tuesday, IDF forces demolished a building in the Khan Younis area, near the border fence, said to be used for firing at citizens working near the fence.
On Sunday, Palestinians opened fire at an Israeli army patrol in the Nahal Oz area, firing RPG missiles and mortar shells. There were no reports among the soldiers, but the Palestinians reported of several casualties.
