Political-Security Cabinet meeting to discuss hostage release negotiations ends

The meeting of the political-security cabinet held in the Defense Ministry's headquarters in the Kirya base in Tel Aviv has ended, and dealt with the impasse in negotiations for a hostage exchange and cease-fire deal with Hamas. The meeting lasted about two and a half hours, during which additional routes to the outline for the deal were discussed. The cabinet also discussed the need for a "strong military arm" in order to exert pressure on Hamas, which corresponds with the planned operation in Rafah. (Itamar Eichner)
