Israeli tourist in Brazil feared being robbed, jumped from wall and was killed

An Israeli tourist who was traveling with her partner was killed Monday night in the Santa Teresa neighborhood of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, near the Corcovado Mountain. According to the local police, the couple were walking along Almirante Alexandrino Boulevard around 7:00 p.m., when they saw a motorcyclist and thought he was trying to rob them. The young woman apparently tried to escape, jumped from a wall and fell from a great height. Firefighters were called to the scene to help the young woman who fell in a wooded area. They managed to reach her and paramedics pronounced her dead.
