The Hamas terror group referred Friday to the clashes on the Temple Mount between police officers and Palestinian rioters after the Ramadan morning prayer.
"We strongly condemn the barbaric aggression of IDF soldiers against worshipers at the Al-Aqsa Mosque. Israel will bear full responsibility for the results of the attacks on the Palestinian people and life in Jerusalem that defend the Al-Aqsa Mosque," the group said in its statement.
"The Palestinian people in Jerusalem are not alone in the al-Aqsa campaign. We call on the public in the West Bank and in the territories of Israel to stand by the people of Jerusalem and strengthen them in their defense of the blessed mosque"
