Abbas welcomes ICC's Israel 'war crimes' investigation

Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas welcomed Thursday the decision of the International Criminal Court in The Hague to investigate allegations of war crimes by Israel.
"We welcome the decision of the prosecutor to open a criminal investigation into the situation in Palestine, which includes the war in Gaza, the settlements and the issue of prisoners in Israeli prisons," Abbas' office stated.
