Cease-fire talks fail in Cairo, deep divisions persist, Hamas official says

Hostage deal talks in Cairo have ended, and the Hamas team will return to Doha to continue consultations, a Hamas official told French news agency AFP on Sunday.
"The hope for a cease-fire between Israel and Hamas has diminished in recent days. There are deep disagreements between the sides, mainly around a permanent cease-fire in Gaza," the official said. (Einav Halabi)
