Shas party leader Aryeh Deri said in an interview Thursday he “understands the soldiers who don’t want to serve in a military that fights the yeshivas.”
His words come after the High Court issued an interim order to halt funding to yeshiva students who haven’t been drafted to the IDF following the expiration of the laws allowing their exemption on April 1.
