Former Prime Minister and Head of Opposition Benjamin Netanyahu responded to the advancement of the negotiations between Israel and Lebanon regarding the maritime border: "Yair Lapid is shamefully surrendering to Nasrallah's threats.
"He's giving Hezbollah sovereign territory of the country with a huge gas reservoir, without Knesset debate and without a referendum. Lapid does not have a mandate to hand over sovereign territories to an enemy state," he said.
"If this illegal underhanded opportunism passes, it won't bind us."
