Eleven Israeli passengers not infected with the coronavirus began disembarking a cruise ship docked off the coast of Japan on Thursday.
The Israelis will be transported to a nearby airport, from where they are expected to take off to Israel. They will then be placed under a 14-day quarantine at Sheba Medical Center in Ramat Gan upon their arrival to Israel.
Another four Israelis tested positive with the virulent pathogen will stay in Japan for further treatment.
The Diamond Princess cruise liner accommodated some 3,700 passengers, including 15 Israelis before being placed under a much-criticized 14-day quarantine period after several cases of the coronavirus had been detected on board.
