Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu hales Israeli efforts to find a vaccine for coronavirus at the Israel Institute for Biological Research after it announced it was set to begin human trials.
Trials will begin next month and are expected to complete phase three testing by the end of QI 2021.
Following a visit to the Sha'are Tsedek Medical Center in Jerusalem the prime minister said he had instructed his government to secure vaccines when they become available internationally but hopes Israel would join the production of vaccines as well.
