Police fine teacher operating illegal school in synagogue's basement

Gilad Cohen|
Police on Wednesday fined a teacher for illegally operating a school in a synagogue's basement in the Ramat Shlomo neighborhood in Jerusalem, defying coronavirus restrictions on gatherings.
As officers arrived at the scene, the students - aged 13-15 - escaped through a side door.
The teacher provided the officers with a permit to operate a special education institution, but the address on the document did not match the school address.
