“Because I worked abroad, I’m used to things where the second-choice goalkeeper gets a chance in the cup. That’s important for Daniel. His behavior is top. Our whole goalkeeping team is a super unit that pushes each other," Tuchel said ahead of the match.

"Daniel Peretz is doing well. He has the right mindset and approach to play for Bayern. We have a good goalkeeping team and are very happy,” he said. "Daniel deserves it. It’s been discussed with him and our goalkeeping coach. We signed Daniel with big hopes for the future,” Tuchel added but emphasized that he did not consider the match any less critical than other fixtures.
German media has been covering Peret's unexpected debut, extensively. The Bild dedicated an article to his arrival under the headline "Will he be the next Manuel Neuer?"

"Peretz is a positive person, laughs a lot, and radiates a good mood. He is fully integrated into the goalkeeping team. Moving to Bayern was a dream come true for him," The Bild wrote. "Peretz has even completed extra shifts with Neuer on several occasions and is very willing to learn. He is always guided by the multiple world goalkeeper. Neuer shows his new colleague how he can perform exercises more perfectly or adopt an even better posture during parades!"
