Defense Minister Benny Gantz and IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Aviv Kochavi met on Friday with the commander of the United States Central Command Gen. Kenneth McKenzie during his visit to Israel.
This is the first meeting between the parties since Israel was transferred to the Central Command from the European Command by former U.S. President Donald Trump. Gantz's office said that "the two discussed the common issues and challenges on the agenda, chiefly among them Iran."
