Senior health official: 90% of COVID-19 cases caused by UK variant

Director General of the Health Ministry Hezi Levy said on Tuesday that 90% of all COVID-19 cases confirmed lately are caused by the UK variant of the virus which targets children in greater numbers.
Levy spoke to Ynet and said he is concerned that the return to commerce, school and entertainment is done quickly.
The coronavirus cabinet on Monday decided to reopen malls, high street shops and more classrooms as of Sunday.
