Israel informed the U.S. of the plan to evacuate residents from Rafah, ahead of the IDF's ground offensive into the city in the southern Gaza Strip.
According to "Politico", citing a senior American official and two informed sources, residents will be relocated to the area of Al-Mawasi, a small strip on the southern coast of Gaza.
The report noted that the IDF sent a map of the area to aid organizations operating in the Gaza strip. The senior American official clarified that this is not the final version of the plan.
