Bahrain: Peace agreement between Israel and Saudi Arabia 'probably not a matter of if, it's a matter of when'

Bahrain's ambassador to the United States Sheikh Abdullah bin Rashid Al Khalifa referred to the normalization agreement being formed between Israel and Saudi Arabia, saying that it is "probably not a matter of if, it's a matter of when." During the American Energy Security Summit in Oklahoma City on Monday, the ambassador added: "It seems that the moral compass is pointing toward peace." Bahrain is one of the Arab countries that signed the Abraham Accords, and since the end of 2020 has maintained full diplomatic relations with Israel. (Daniel Edelson, New York)
