Who's behind pro-Israel 'Hamas website'

Hamas.com, shared by Israeli influencers and Foreign Ministry channels, mysteriously appears online; its origins are unclear, but it vividly showcases Hamas atrocities through graphic videos

A peculiar and mysterious website, seemingly belonging to the Hamas terrorist organization, appeared on the internet this week and has since been causing a stir on social media. It was almost accidentally revealed by a pro-Israeli hacker group on their Telegram channel. In a post they published on Monday, they noted, "The end of days has come! Hamas has started to publish the truth on its site."

A source in the cyber field reported that the hackers initially attempted to attack the site but quickly stopped. The reason? It turns out that the site is an initiative by unknown Israeli entities to demonstrate the horrors of Hamas in an unconventional way - a website that appears to belong to the organization and tries to raise money for it, but when delving into the content, it actually exposes the atrocities Hamas committed on October 7.

It is now revealed that the site is an initiative of Israeli nationals interested in assisting Israeli advocacy. Through the foreign minister, a connection was established to the digital division of the ministry, which helps to disseminate the site's content worldwide. Since the beginning of the war, the Foreign Ministry made a groundbreaking decision to show the horrors to the global public opinion. This decision has gained renewed importance in recent weeks as there are elements on social media denying the massacre of October 7.
The decision to purchase the domain (hamas.com) seemingly belonging to Hamas is a sophisticated way to confront those who sympathize with the organization and justify its atrocities. Since the site went live, it has been integrated into many posts by the Foreign Ministry on its official channels and by its representations worldwide. However, it should be noted that the content displayed on it is uncensored and includes videos with difficult content, as recorded by Hamas terrorists' body cameras and public cameras.
These videos are likely part of the footage gathered by the Foreign Ministry for the explanatory film shown around the world. The production of that film, by the way, was accompanied by moral dilemmas, whether it is right to use footage of Israeli citizens, some of them minors, sometimes without the families being able to agree to it or being asked about it in advance. It is evident that the creators of the non-original Hamas site did not engage in this - the videos are very graphic and do not blur any detail.

These videos include acts of horror that may harm those who are not prepared for their level of detail, and we do not recommend viewing them. As mentioned, it is unclear who is behind the initiative. What we do know is that the site is hosted on servers of a very well-known Israeli company and that the purchase of the domain (website address) and its operation are apparently funded by an anonymous Jewish benefactor.
"The decision to purchase the domain supposedly belonging to Hamas is a sophisticated way to confront those who sympathize with Hamas and justify its atrocities," said David Saranga, head of the Digital Diplomacy Division at the Foreign Ministry, in response to Ynet.
