After a brief and warm hiatus, a spell of heavy local showers hit Israel on Thursday, raising concerns of flooding in the southern and eastern parts of the country.
Police said they may block roads to traffic in areas prone to flooding.
The rain was set to continue through Friday, especially in southern and central Israel, with a serious risk of flooding in the area.
The weather was expected to stabilize on Saturday, with the rain giving way to more clement temperatures.
The rain will stop early next week as temperatures will rise again with chances of another light heatwave in the middle of the week.
