Blue & White Chairman Benny Gantz and Labor Party Chairman Amir Peretz on Friday signed a coalition agreement that would see the left-wing party’s leader serve as the minister of economy and industry in the unity government with Likud.
Labor’s No. 2 Itzik Shmuli will serve as the minister of welfare and social services.
Peretz is also set to become a member of the political-security cabinet, while Shmuli will be part of the Knesset’s legislative committee.
