The Health Ministry on Thursday is expected to recommend a renewed lockdown on several Jerusalem neighborhoods, including the southern Bedouin village of Hura.
Among the areas in the capital slatted for further closures are Ramot neighborhood and the ultra-Orthodox neighborhoods of Kiryat Sanz and Kiryat Belz.
According to Interior Ministry documents, the ongoing lockdown on the ultra-Orthodox neighborhood of Ramat Beit is set to be extended by further five days.
The ministry recommended lifting the lockdown on the southern town of Netivot by the end of Thursday.
Officials also proposed a five-day lockdown on the Bedouin town Hura starting Friday after coronavirus cases spiked within the community in recent weeks.
Another community that came up in talks was the Arab town of Taiybe, which has also seen a spike in confirmed cases, but officials decided that for now travel restrictions will be implemented and not a total lockdown.

The Health Ministry reported on Wednesday that since April 12, 4,904 cases of coronavirus have been confirmed, more than half of them in Jerusalem and Bnei Brak.
The capital has seen the largest number of new cases with 1,462 confirmed in the past 18 days - a 74.6% increase in virus diagnoses while some ultra-Orthodox neighborhoods in the city remain under partial closures and travel restrictions.
Hura, which had no confirmed infections until two weeks ago, now has 69 cases, 30 of themdiagnosed in the last three days.
