Egypt renewed its gas supply to Israel after repair work has been completed on a pipeline targeted by terrorists in April.

The supply of Egyptian gas was halted following the April 27 blast, with gas provider EMG working since then to restore supply to its previous levels. EMG added that Egyptian security officials added new measures in order to prevent further attacks on the pipeline.

The pipeline was targeted in two separate attacks since the beginning of the year. Following the last bombing, EMG's vice president said the supply will be renewed within two weeks, estimates that proved to be overly optimistic.

Earlier this week, EMG said it will undertake tests this week ahead of the renewal of the supply.
