Scala restaurant at Jerusalem's David Citadel Hotel is one of the 101 best hotel restaurants around the world, according to the Daily Meal food website.
The list was compiled by the Daily Meal's editors, "who have traveled and fined extensively around the world, consulting the Michelin Guide and other trusted sources."
To be in contention, a hotel had to have at least 15 rooms.
"Hotel restaurants are regarded highly abroad, while in Israel they are not really appreciated," says Scala's chef, Oren Yerushalmi. "I am delighted and satisfied at this news."
Paris leads the list with five hotel restaurants, followed by New York and Las Vegas with four restaurants each.
