Israelis return to Heathrow's Terminal 5

Starting in March, British Airways flights on Tel Aviv-London route will be operated from terminal used by company for its flights to destinations worldwide

Good news for British Airways passengers flying from Israel to London: The United Kingdom's flag carrier airline has announced that, starting March 2014, flights on the Tel Aviv-London route will return to Heathrow Airport's Terminal 5, which is used by the company for its flights to and from destinations all over the world.

The return to Terminal 5 will shorten the waiting period for connecting flights, prevent the need to go to Terminal 1, where flights from Israel currently land, and save passengers a lot of time which has been spent passing between terminals, which they will now be able to use for shopping at the place named as the world's best airport terminal.

British Airways said it was attentive to the Israeli public and had decided to return to Terminal 5 due to the importance of the Israeli market to the company and its years-long commitment to its customers in Israel.

The airline also announced that, starting March 30, its afternoon flight from Tel Aviv to London will be operated in the large and prestigious Boeing 777 plane, with four travel classes: Economy, premium economy, business and first class.

The morning flight will remain in the Airbus 321 plane with two classes: Economy and business.
