Yisrael Beytenu leader Avigdor Liberman on Monday called on President Reuven Rivlin and Knesset Speaker Yuli Edelstein to sit down with the major party leaders and work out a solution that will prevent a "needless third election" in less than a year.
Liberman said that since the party heads were unable to break the deadlock and agree on a unity government, the president and speaker may be able to help them work out their differences and reach a path that would lead the country out of this deadlock.
