Unknown assailants fired on Tuesday at the home of Sohil Malakham, head of the council of Jadeidi-Makr, an Arab local council in northern Israel.
His personal bodyguard, 30, was injured during the shooting and was evacuated to Galilee Medical Center in Nahariya.
Several weeks ago, a similar incident occurred to Malakham, where an assailant shot at his house and burned his car.
That person was later arrested by the police.
