Likud agrees on leadership race for Dec. 26

The Likud party will hold an internal leadership election on December 26, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the heads of the party's Central Committee agreed Wednesday.
The members of the Central Committee will formally vote to approve the date on Thursday evening.
So far, Likud MK Gideon Sa'ar is the only person running against Netanyahu, who has appointed Foreign Minister Israel Katz to run his campaign.
