Blue & White leader Benny Gantz spoke about the general elections in Britain on Friday and called Prime Minister Boris Johnson's landslide win over main rival Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn "good news".
"The election results in which Jeremy Corbyn lost, who allowed anti-semitism to well in his party, are good news to Israel, but more so to the British people and the British democracy," said the former IDF chief.
Gantz also congratulated Prime Minister Johnson on his victory and expressed hope for the future of the bilateral relations between the two countries.
"I congratulate Prime Minister Boris Johnson, a true friend of Israel, on his unequivocal victory. I have no doubt that we will keep strengthening the economic, defense and cultural relations between Britain and Israel."
