Hamas: Abbas not serious about legislative and presidential elections

The Media Line|
Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas “isn’t serious about holding elections,” according to a senior Hamas official in Gaza.
Abbas was supposed to issue a decree last week scheduling elections and he has not been forthcoming on the reason behind the delay, the Hamas official, who asked not to be identified, said by phone from Gaza City.
The Hamas official accused the Palestinian president of having a “monopoly” on decision-making and on the future of the Palestinian people.
