Abbas conditions Palestinian vote on East Jerusalem participation

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas said on Wednesday that he would only allow upholding Palestinian elections if Israel approves the participation of the residents of East Jerusalem.
"If the residents of Jerusalem can't vote in the heart of the city they live in - there will be no elections," Abbas said in a speech he gave in the West Bank city of Ramallah. "We are very interested in holding elections, but not at all costs."
