Naama Issachar asked her family and legal team on Tuesday to begin the process of a second appeal to her court sentence.
The appeal is likely to be discussed in the higher level of the Moscow District Court.
Naama's mother, Yaffa, told Ynet: "I really hope the discussion is quick and Naama will be able to light the last Chanukah candles with us this holiday. I wish the prime minister would hurry with the moves he is making to bring my daughter home."
