Iran threatens with 'firm response' after U.S. airstrike eliminates top Iranian general

Spokesperson of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps Abu al-Fadl Shakarji on Sunday called a U.S. airstrike last week, which killed top Iranian general Qasem Soleimani, an "act of terror" and will lead to a "firm" Iranian response.
"The assassination of (Quds Force commander) Qasem Soleimani is a clear act of terrorism. It is impossible to go over it in silence," said Shakarji. "Our response is on the way and it will be firm."
