In historic first, a senior delegation of Muslim officials, headed by Dr. Mohammad Abdulkarim Al-Issa, Secretary General of the Muslim World League, visited Thursday the Auschwitz-Birkenau camp in Poland.
Al-Issa, who is also the former justice minister of Saudi Arabia, is the most senior Muslim religious leader to visit the extermination camp this year as part of events commemorating the 75th anniversary of the liberation of the former German Nazi death camp.
