Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu canceled the planned weekly cabinet meeting on Sunday. No official explanation for the move was given.
Netanyahu said Tuesday that he would ask the cabinet to vote to extend Israeli jurisdiction over parts of the West Bank in line with Donald Trump's peace plan, an announcement that was soon dialed back in the face of American concerns.
A source close to the prime minister said the delay in raising the proposal is due to technical and not substantial concerns.
