Finance Ministry calls for end to six-day school week

|
The Treasury is calling for an end to schools and kindergartens opening on Fridays, thereby shortening the school week from six days to five (Sunday-Thursday).
The call comes in the wake of an extensive study by the Bank of Israel released last November, which proposed cancelling Friday school days in favor of non-compulsory enrichment programs.
