President Reuven Rivlin receives the "Change of Direction 2020" plan to address climate change through achievable policy aims.
The plan deals with changes needed in the areas of energy, transportation, agriculture, urban planning, education and economy and aims to connect the issue to people’s daily lives.
“This is no longer a niche subject just for nature-lovers,” says the president. “There is no reason why Israel, which proved a long time ago that it is a powerhouse in innovative technology, should not be a beacon of excellence for the whole world in the field of sustainability.”
