Turkish President Recep Erdogan said during a meeting of his Justice and Development Party on Wednesday that his country will "do all it takes" to protect the rights of the Palestinian people.
"U.S. President Donald Trump's peace plan is essentially a plan of occupation," he said.
The Turkish president slammed Trump, saying that the peace plan's main goal is "to legitimize the occupation of the West Bank, the destruction and the ruthless annexation by Israel, a policy last for 70 years now."
