A 20-year-old man was stabbed to death Monday on Montefiore Boulevard in Ashdod.
Emergency teams that arrived at the scene found the young man found in critical condition on the street.
United Hatzalah volunteer EMTs Avraham Heine and Daniel Bokovza were among the first responders at the scene and performed CPR on the man who it appeared had been involved in a motor vehicle accident, but it was later found that he had suffered a fatal stab wound.
"When we arrived at the scene, we found a young man suffering a full-system trauma. We performed CPR on him in an effort to resuscitate him," said Heine. "Sadly, he was pronounced dead at the scene due to the severity of the injuries he suffered."
Police investigate foul play.
