Israel strikes Gaza, cancels easing of restrictions

The IDF attacked Hamas positions in the Gaza Strip on Saturday in retaliation to rocket fire from the Palestinian enclave into Israel, a military statement said.
Following the rocket fire, Israel announced it would cancel the planned easing of the blockade on the Gaza Strip that included an extension of the allowed fishing zone and work and commerce permits for residents of the enclave.
