The Chief Rabbi of Safed Shmuel Eliyahu was holding a mass prayer session at the Western Wall on Sunday "in order to stop the coronavirus epidemic."
The pray-in was organized in conjunction with OU Israel and the Rabbinical Community Association.
"The people of Israel in their role are praying for the world, as a light to all nations," Eliyahu said. "The fact that our prayers have immense impact requires us to pray for peace and for good in the world. "
