President Reuven Rivlin tells American Jews that U.S.-Israel ties should be above partisan politics.
"The strategic alliance between us has to remain above differences of party politics," Rivlin says at the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations annual gathering, held this year in Jerusalem.
The president also pledged support for the businesses appearing on a UN blacklist of companies operating in the West Bank.
"We will stand by the companies who appear on the list," Rivlin says, adding that Israel "is grateful to the Americans who stand by our side against this shameful political decision."
