The Israeli Embassy in China rescued Israeli Tomer Zvulun, who was stuck in a remote village in the Hubei province, a six-hour drive from the province's capital and the epicenter of the coronavirus outbreak - Wuhan.
Zvulun was set to attend a kung fu workshop in the village and has been stuck there since the outbreak of the virus last month.
The embassy obtained permits from the district's authorities to evacuate him and he boarded a flight to Ukraine, from where he is scheduled to fly to Israel.
