Israel conducted Airstrikes on the northern Gaza Strip Sunday in response to rocket fire targeting Israeli communities, cities in the south of the country.
The IDF spokesperson's Unit announced the military was targeting the Islamic Jihad faction.
The Islamic Jihad had claimed responsibility for earlier rocket barrages against the city of Ashkelon, Sderot and border area communities.
