An Egyptian brokered ceasefire between Israel and the Islamic Jihad has been in effect since late Monday.
Schools will remain closed in Ashkelon, Netivot, Sderot and the surrounding regional councils as a precaution, but railway traffic has resumed and roads have been opened to civilian traffic.
