Iran's deputy health minister tests positive for coronavirus

Iranian Deputy Health Minister Iraj Harirchi, who has been the face of the country's efforts to counter coronavirus, has tested positive for the disease.
Writing on Twitter, Harirchi confirmed his positive diagnosis but vowed to beat the virus.
Iran is one of the worst-hit countries in the virus outbreak. An Iranian lawmaker said Monday that 50 people have died from coronavirus in the city of Qom alone this month, although the Health Ministry says there have only been 12 deaths in total in the country.
