Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu accompanied by his wife Sara voted in Jerusalem.
"I call on everyone to vote, it is a democratic right we should be proud of," the prime minister said.
"Don't pay head to fake news reports meant to keep you away from the ballot boxes," he said.
