The medical condition of a 38-year-old man who has tested positive with the novel coronavirus worsened significantly, the Baruch Padeh Medical Center in Tiberias reported on Sunday.
The patient, who works as a tour bus driver, is believed to have contracted the pathogen after coming into contact with a group of Greek pilgrims who were later confirmed to be carrying the virus as well.
The driver was hospitalized Thursday with severe pneumonia. He is currently in serious condition and is receiving assisted ventilation.
