Israel’s Independence Day ceremony will be held without audience

Culture Minister Miri Regev announced Wednesday the traditional torch-lighting ceremony at Jerusalem’s Mount Herzl to celebrate Independence Day will be held without an audience this year due to the threat of coronavirus infection.
“It’s been decided to hold it without an audience, sadly,” Regev said of the April 28 event.
