The cabinet on Sunday approved measures to help contain the spread of coronavirus in the prison system.
Under the new measures, appeals and court hearing regarding remand extensions will be held by video conference technology and without the presence of prisoners.
Visits to prisoners will be stopped including visits by defense councils.
